Our Story
Stanley Stevens established Stevens Sales Company in 1914, when Thomas Edison appointed him as the agent/distributor for Mazda Lamps (which was the lamp division for both General Electric and Westinghouse Corporation). His younger brother Thad Stevens took over the business in 1938 after Stanley died in an automobile accident near Burley, Idaho. In 1958, Thad’s son-in-law, Jack Lowder bought the company after working for Thad for 10 years. In 1973, Clark Lowder, began working at Stevens Sales Company for his father (Jack) while finishing his Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Utah. Clark took over as owner in 1990.
Today, the current principals of Stevens Sales are Blaine Brockman, Kevin Brockman, Tim Robbins, Miles Lowder and Jake Lowder. There are 23 employees covering all of Utah and parts of Idaho, Nevada and Wyoming. Our sales team works closely with the architectural, engineering, specification, and design build community. As well as distributors, contractors, and end users.
